Be a STEAM Hero:
Light up young minds this holiday season!
Want to Give LA Students a Gift for the holidays? Donate today and help us build a community makerspace in South LA that's open to all, where kids and their families can come to learn STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) by making their own inventions! The lab will be located in our new building, and come equipped with cutting edge tools, plans for projects, sustainable materials, and our friendly instructors who make STEAM learning fun! Our goal is to raise $50,000 for our new community makerspace, and our Board will match your donations up to $25,000.
What's a community makerspace?
A community makerspace is a place for hands-on STEAM learning that's open to all: equipped with cutting edge fabrication tools, plans for projects kids can make, and sustainable materials . 2BCF is world famous for bringing these spaces to schools and libraries, helping prepare kids for college and career. With your help, our educators will bring it to South LA.
Your gift will go towards:
- A place for kids and their family to learn engineering and fabrication.
- Low/no cost workshops for students and teachers to learn about innovation and making.
- A space to train teachers to use hands-on engineering projects in the classroom.
- A recording studio that allows our teachers to create instructional video guides to reach to teachers, students, and families that don't have access to STEAM programs.
